Dr. Mark Wilhelm, LL.M.

Since 1996, first at the University of Tübingen and then as an attorney at law, Dr. Mark Wilhelm has been practicing law, specializing in the areas of insurance law, law of damages and compensation as well as social security law.

He has worked for an international law firm for several years and has later been the co-founder of the predecessor law firm. In spring 2006, he founded the law firm "Wilhelm Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten" together with the attorney at law Lars Winkler.

Dr. Mark Wilhelm structures insurance-related products, specializes in the area of alternative financing instruments and conducts major damage suits and proceedings. He is regarded as one of the experts in the areas of social health insurance, in particular health-insurance related issues such as budget and organizational law as well as board of directors´ liability issues.

Dr. Mark Wilhelm advises medium-sized and international companies, health insurance institutions and associations as well as reinsurers in the area of insurance and damage law.

He also advised on the run-off of insurance portfolios and developed outsourcing concepts and financial reinsurance contracts. Dr. Mark Wilhelm advises and negotiates disputes to legal insurance and liability matters in the area of board of directors liability. He also conducts legal actions and liability proceedings for companies as well as for public-law corporations.

Budgetary disputes regarding health-insurance compensation, associations´ assessments and expert´s opinions in social legal matters determine his activities and service for the insurance carrier.

In the course of his post-graduate program of studies in insurance law, he obtained the "Master of Insurance Law - LL.M.". Moreover, he is an attorney at law specialized in insurance law.

Furthermore, Dr. Mark Wilhelm also practices as counselor in the area of "negotiation". He gives lectures and seminars on this issue and released the book "Verhandeln im Schadenfall", published in 2002 by von Göler.
