Dr. Anja Mayer specializes in conducting liability and (re-)insurance cases before public and arbitral courts. She especially litigates proceedings within the field of corporate D&O, product, attorney and authority liability as well as of general private law.
Before starting at the law firm Wilhelm, she has been working for several years as attorney at law with a major international law firm in the department “Litigation and Dispute Resolution”. Here, she litigated comprehensive damage claim proceedings in the field of D&O liability and coordinated the clearing of facts with the clients’ internal organization. Furthermore, she accompanied proceedings with a wide range of general private law related contractual and tort law including warranty claims in delivery, service and international plant construction agreements.
Dr. Anja Mayer’s consultancy sets a high value on the economic evaluation of procedural risks and chances. She develops procedural strategies based on the clients’ needs as well as economically reasonable alternative dispute solutions.
A further core area of her service is the avoidance of liability risks on the form of contract. Here, she uses her experience with proceedings about typically disputed contract clauses. She advised medium-sized and international companies as well as public corporations with the form of national and international supply contracts, general terms and conditions and plant construction contracts as well as with general matters of private and corporate law.
Dr. Anja Mayer has dealt with the evaluation and dispute solution in case of international matters and court proceedings for 10 years. Before working as an attorney at law, she was among others working at the Bucerius Law School. She held presentations about international private and civil procedure law. She has profound knowledge in French and Russian law. In 1998, she was awarded the “licence en droit” in Paris. In 2009, she published a paper dealing with the acknowledgement of international liens on movable objects in German-Russian legal relations.
