„Movable things“ in property insurance policies may lead to conflict of interpretation

German insurance policies contain a variety of ambiguous terms. Some of the terms used do not clearly define the intended and favorable circumstances for the policyholder. In such cases, an interpretation of the contract is required.

However, relevant terms in property insurance policies may be interpreted differently, depending on the reference point chosen, as Martin Kandzia shows by the example of the term "movable things".
