Julie Bölinger specializes in forming direct insurance and reinsurance. She advises national and international clients on insurance contracts, on the settlement of coverage claims as well as on financing issues, e.g. methods to finance risks. She heads Wilhelm’s reinsurance department.
A focus of Julie Bölinger’s work is the forming of contracts for reinsurers and insurance contracts for the industry. Furthermore, she advises direct insurers on the creation of insurance terms.
She handles personal insurance portfolios (life insurance, permanent disability insurance et al.) as well as portfolio run-offs (including commutations). She advises our reinsurance clients on loss settlement and represents them in arbitral proceedings between insurers.
In addition, Julie Bölinger deals with financing matters. She works for example on financing contracts for insurers, banks and industry, transferring risks to the capital markets or financing run-offs and sales of insurance portfolios.
Before changing to Wilhelm Rechtsanwälte, Julie Bölinger was senior claims manager with SCOR Global Life in Cologne. Before that, she was working as corporate counsel for ROLAND ProzessFinanz AG. She deepened her insurance law specialization with postgraduate master studies in London in national and international banking and insurance law. She is business-fluent in English.
