Profil

Sabrina Hußmann advises on insurance and liability law with a focus on commercial insurance issues.

She advises companies on asserting their claims following industrial damage events. She also assesses contracts and clauses of insurance policies for the industry.

Sabrina also advises on directors‘ and officers’ liability and D&O insurance. Among others, she represents managers in defence against claims for damages, for example in the context of insolvency proceedings.

Sabrina studied law in Düsseldorf, specialising in German and international private and procedural law as well as insurance law. During her legal clerkship, she deepened her knowledge of insurance law (i.a. as a research assistant at WILHELM) and criminal law. She speaks German and English.

  • Advising a manager on claims for damages due to allegedly made payments after the company became insolvent, and representing the client in liability defense proceedings
  • Court representation of a lawyer in response to unjustified claims for reimbursement of legal fees by a legal expenses insurer
  • Out-of-court representation of a company following cyber incidents, particularly advising on coverage under fidelity insurance
  • Preparation of legal opinions on liability risks and insurance coverage for a company
  • Advising a social security institution on the termination of executive-level service contracts
  • Expert legal review of a director’s claims under D&O liability insurance
  • Coordination with co-insurers and reinsurers following a major fire loss
  • Enforcement and safeguarding of insurance claims for a service provider in a case of reputational damage and ongoing investigations
