Dr. Andreas Shell

As a former Global Head of Claims of one of the world's largest commercial insurers, Andreas Shell is one of the leading property insurance experts in Germany. Based on his more than 25 years of experience in industrial insurance, Andreas advises reinsurers and insured companies on claims settlement and insurance law issues.

As head of the property claims department at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS), Andreas was responsible for the settlement of major claims worldwide for many years. Among other things, he coordinated the cross-divisional claims settlement after 11 September 2001, with a particular focus on property, energy and technical insurance as well as product liability.

Thanks to his experience in conducting negotiations on behalf of the insurance industry, Andreas knows the insurers' lines of argument and decision-making processes and is therefore able to provide industry clients with optimum support in the event of a claim. He is fluent in English, French and Italian.
