Ricardo Grocholl represents the interests of clients in liability and insurance law at our Berlin office.
His work focusses on the extrajudicial and judicial assertion of insurance claims. He often assists clients with claims in the area of property insurance. In order to avoid legal disputes with the insurer, he advises companies at an early stage on how to deal with the insured event. He supports clients in complying with obligations and accompanies expert proceedings in the settlement process. Based on his experience in claims settlement, he also advises on insurance purchasing and contract drafting to avoid pitfalls and gaps in cover.
Ricardo studied law, specialising in insurance law, at the Free University of Berlin as well as at the University of Warsaw, and completed further training to become a specialist lawyer for insurance law shortly after starting his career as a lawyer. Before joining WILHELM, he worked in a law firm specialising in insurance law, where, in addition to numerous lawsuits representing policyholders, he also conducted negotiations with insurers for the settlement of mass claims. He has published articles on his experiences and findings in REthinking: Law and VersicherungsPraxis.
In his private life, Ricardo is a passionate DIY enthusiast with extensive experience in almost every conceivable area. From sanitary installations to drywall construction, he demands the highest standards of his work. Last but not least, his technical understanding also benefits his clients when it comes to legal advice on complex claims.
